weird smell from pc

Just wondering if something needs to be fixed. There is this computery smell coming from my pc. It smells strong coming from the heatsink. I can smell it from the gpu fan slot too but unsure. It seems to be worsened when under load such as gaming or software. Is this normal?

I mean the pc is wayy past its break-in period. So I know the "new-components" smell is not a thing anymore. Its not super hot either. Aside from my gpu. I have 5 fans running in my system and plenty of airflow.

So whats going on? Something else that is running a little too hot?

Perhaps check the motherboard chipset and VRM temperatures. Turn the PC off and spin the fans by hand, see if any aren't rotating smoothly.

When in doubt, disassemble and re-apply thermal compound. You might spot something during the process.
