Hey, I'm getting a strange issue where starting up certain games like Arma 3 and Payday 2 activates a strobing feature on my monitor. This is very much like using lightboost for FPS gaming. In fact, I'd say it is exactly what's happening, except I can't find the usual process, "strobelight.exe" in the taskmanager.

I haven't used lightboost for gaming in a bit, but the flicker is too real.
I've been having trouble disabling this/ keeping it from activating. Any suggestions?
I will post more information if requested.

I get the strobe effect whenever I start certain games like Arma 3 and Payday 2.
Actually I just fixed the issue with Arma 3. In display settings I clicked auto adjust and returned it to the normal display type.

I'm not having much luck with Payday 2 but I do know that taking it out of fullscreen and setting it to windowed mode fixes the issue basically.
To clarify, the strobe itself isn't apparent. I can tell because the colors shift towards purple as well as the light dimming. That and the fact that I get that flicker effect when I shake my hand in front of the monitor as if it were a CRT

Hmm I don't know. I am not expert with monitors, and I do not own an asus monitor myself. A few reviews have said that on Asus monitors, when you shoot a gun in call of duty, or do any sort of flash in a game, the whole screen quickly flashes. But it is just one frame so it is so fast it isn't a big deal. I don't know if this is similar to your problem.

Nope I don't think so. I think this could be software based.
Basically, Lightboost or some sort of software like it is activating when I play Payday 2 in fullscreen.
