This PC might just make me pull out my hair sooner or later.
I made another thread just a couple of days ago with a TAP-driver causing BSOD. Today I come to you with a different problem.
This is going to be a bit difficult to explain as English isn't my first language and it's an unusual problem (at least I can't find any solutions when googling it)
When I touch the touchpad it can freeze on me. It happens when touching (not pressing and hearing a click) and dragging my finger across the surface of the touchpad. The arrow doesn't follow my finger. Sometimes it follows for a couple of centimeters across the screen and sometimes it doesn't at all. To encounter the problem most of the time I have to touch the trackpad for just about a second and then dragging my finger.
It's just such an annoying little thing that makes me extremely frustrated when using the PC.
I'm using the latest ELANtech driver from the product page of my PC on Acer's website. The strange things is when I enter BIOS/UEFI and change the touchpad from Advanced to Basic the issue isn't there any more. But then I can't utilize all the great touchpad gestures that Windows 10 (finally) has to offer which is a deal breaker for me.
PC is an Acer TravelMate X349-G2-M.
UPDATE: I fixed it. For some reason Tweakbit Driver Updater had downloaded a driver called "WheelMouse" or something. I had no idea what that could be, as I don't use a mouse so I went ahead and uninstalled it. Problem fixed.
Btw I wouldn't recommend using TweakBit as Avira has just quarantined a lot of it's files saying it contains malware.
