Hi there,
I bought me a used GA-970a-UD4 Mainboard as well as a FX-6300 to speed up my Computer a bit but when I try to boot I don't get any Videosignal out of my GTX 1050 ti. The fan of the CPU starts to turn slightly for a second and then stops completely as if it would miss energy. I set my old X4 945 in the Mainboard and it did work just fine so I thought it would be related to the CPU but as I sent it back and built in the new one I had the same Problem. The PowerUnit is a 600W OCZ and the RAM is 2X4GB DDR3 1866MHZ CL 9-10-9-28. The PU, GPU and the RAM worked just perfect in my old System with an A8-3850 and F1A75M.

Hope you can help me = )

Thanks will try that later after I received my thermal paste. Is it possible that a defect motherboard destroys a cpu immediately? Maybe when the guy I bought it from did change something in the bios, like the core voltage or fsb?

Ok, it's getting super weird now. I put in my x4 945 and everything worked just fine, BIOS version FC from 2013 was installed -which is actually pretty new. I installed succesfully the Beta BIOS FDe and still it works just perfect with my 945 but as soon as I put in one of my FX-6300 I got the same problem, CPU-fan turns slightly but no Video output. I doubt it, that a used FX-6300 and a new out of the Box FX-6300 are both defect. My whole living room looks like a Battlefield of Computer-Hardware and screws. Any further Ideas except of puting an end to this whole mess with my new Years Eve firecrackers? Thanks for any help = )
