Hi guys,
so I recently switched cases to a Phanteks Evolv ITX, and for some weird reason, after booting into Windows 10 (reach login screen) the PSU whirs loudly. This does not happen while browsing the BIOS.
Upon a removal of the cable (be it HDMI or displayport) connected to my GPU, the whirring stops and does not come back even when I reinsert the HDMI/DisplayPort cable.
What is wrong with my PSU??? In the BIOS, the voltages are
+3V 3.344V
+12V 12.168V
+5V 5.100V
so I doubt there is an issue with the power coming from the PSU?
Here's my build
PSU is a Seasonic S12G 450W
Gigabyte H270N-WiFi (ITX)
Zotac GTX 960
2x Corsair 140mm fans
1xPhanteks included 200mm fan
(I have personally checked, disabled my CPU fan, disabled my case fans and am positive it is the PSU making the noise)
**Just tried running a benchmark (3DMark Time Spy) and the whirring returns. But this time removing the HDMI cable does not take the whirring noise away.
So, anybody knows what is going on? I am very clueless. Thanks!!
