Weirdly regular Ping Spikes

I've been having an issue with my internet connection. Every 5-10secs my ping changes from 30ms to anything around 2000-4000ms. At this point, my voice comm is stuttering, pages I visit stop loading etc.

Any ideas on what it can mean?

Really no idea, we would need your setup of your PC and internet connection etc.

Could be numerous things that can cause this.

Do you want me to provide you with some logs? What program should I use?

Id try using WINMTR it will determine if this is a local thing or something with your ISP, are you using wireless?

I've used WinMTR, everything looked okay except for a line called "no response from host: " where packet loss equaled 100% <photo> <I've waited for more sent data, it equaled 100% even at 600 sent>

Looks like your router is causing the problem, how many devices are connected? I wouldn't worry about the one that is giving you no response its not allowing icmp packets

I've uninstalled and reinstalled my network card drivers. It helped for now. Yup, it was that easy

Spikes came back! Please help ;__; Reinstalling doesn't work anymore

I will assume you a running this on ethernet. Any form of wireless will cause the issue you see.

Try to disable any of the so called "network accelerator" software. Mostly this is killer chipsets but intel has jumped into that mess too. Killer actually has special drivers that remove all the extra killer features because people have had so many strange issues.

Other than this is must be some other software on your machine that is causing delays. It does not even have to be network involved. You could try running in safe mode and see if that makes any difference.
