Well, I went nuts....

I had a Q6600 OC'ed to a comfortable 3.4GHz..a hd3850 video card etc...

So I got into Planetside 2...and my card was lacking....So, I buy a new vid card, the Gigabyte 7870OC...

The someone put a bug in my ear about the CPU chocking the video card..I understand that its debatable...

So while dream shopping on Newegg...I decide on a rig that is affordable, OC'able etc if I ever get the cash........

Then 2 days I start thinking I can afford new stuff...The path to spending money!!!

I read about a Microcenter deal someone got...so I go to Microcenters website...

The i5 3570 is $30 bucks cheaper..The Asrock Extreme4 was on combo sale for $94.99..And M4 SSD is $6.00 cheaper, such a good deal that I whipped out my credit card purchased! I also got 8gb of Corsair Vengeance memory....Same price as Newegg.

Microcenter is only 1 hr away, run down during work...bam!.. decent new rig....

Then today, I decided to do it right and buy and Corsair Carbide 400 case, the Noctua D14, 7 140mm Noctua NF P14 flex fans, ANOTHER Gigabyte 7870OC video card, the Corsair HX750 psu.

I also put little Sunon 40mm fans on the Northbridge and Southbridge heat sinks...I had them on my old setup....

I should have one fast, cool, quite rig!!!!

I now look forward to OC'ing the 3570...to see what I can get out of it.....

I think I ended up on Santa's Naughty list........
