WEP Code

I have a Belkin Play router and I can't find my WEP code. I've tried going to the Wireless Security section and no code is listed, and the problem is all of the answers I've searched all say to do that and it doesn't work. I'm trying to set Wi-Fi up on my Nintendo DS. I've already set it up on my Wii, it only asked for my network password. I tried using the network password and it didn't work either.

Connect the computer to the router with an ethernet cable.

See the literature which came with your router for how to access the user setup screens in the router. Once in go to wireless security and review or renew the wireless security type and password. WPA PSK TKIP is the most common security type in use.


Disconnect ethernet cable.

Go to the computer's wireless networking setup screen and see if you can detect the router's SSID (wireless call sign). Select that network.



Apply the wireless security type and password to the computer's wireless networking setup screen.
