Westell 7500 speed issue - config/update?

Hello, I have a Westell 7500 (for 5 years now) & Verizon DSL. I'm just now starting to have some issues - seems like a buffer issue? - with my connection slowing down - a reboot of the gateway fixes it - for a day or so. I can't find what the speed limits are for this gateway. My download speeds are around 7mb and upload at 700K. And I'm paying for the higher speed DSL package. Should these speeds be higher? Would they be higher with a newer gateway? A friend has Comcast and when I tested that connection it was 120mb download and 12mb upload! Also, I can't find a firmware update link for this gateway...Thanks!

I would contact Verizon. It could be the modem, or a line that needs replacing.
