I think you'd have difficulty finding a B450 Tomahawk under $100. But if you do go for it as I like the 4-phase VCore VRM on the Tomahawk.

What do you consider "similar"? As I said above, the B450-A Pro is similar (uses the same VRMs) and is usually a bit cheaper.

You've got three board choices all under a hundred (Pounds, as I didn't know before). All are good...some have been called the 'best' in various reviews. But 'best' is an opinion and I wouldn't care to argue about it so go with the cheapest of them and you won't likely go wrong. But if you have some specific requirement that needs fullfilling beyond 'save money' you have to tell it so someone can help.

Is a USB Type C port important to you?

If not, it sounds like you got a coin flip lined up.

They’re only about 5 pound difference but the b450 gaming plus looks cosmetically nicer and I think the tomohawk might light up

You're quibbling if you're down to cosmetics. Get the gaming plus and go buy a pint or two with what you save.
