hello
I am currently shopping for an SSD at the 250GB capacity ranges and I need it to have respectable write cycles as I want it to stay with me for 5 years at least
I don't know a lot about them So...
What brand is the Best ? (Excluding Samsung more on why here and here TL;DR my treats with them turned out to inform me that they really cheap a lot about their QA and I took a covenant to not buy from them again)
What is TRIM? and should it be concerning me? (Don't really understand it)
and lastly what else do I have to take into considerations?

Solution
Intel is also good.

Trim allows a delete command to be transmitted to the ssd to make a nand block available without the need for a read/rewrite sequence.

It increases the longevity of the ssd.

But, this is really a non issue today with ssd devices.
The ssd will be long obsolete before any heavy desktop user wears it out. Think 15 years.
