What 980 To Go With?

So i have narrowed it down to the GTX 980 Superclocked ACX 2.0 and the GTX 980 FTW ACX 2.0. Here are the specs

GTX 980 Superclocked ACX 2.0:
1266MHz Base Clock
1367MHz Boost Clock
162GT/s Texture Fill Rate
Can Get For $500

Or

GTX 980 FTW ACX 2.0:
1279MHz Base Clock
1380MHz Boost Clock
164GT/s Texture Fill Rate
Can Get For $530

Is it worth it to pay the additional $30? Please let me know!

The Spec's won't make a big difference, it really depends on your luck in the Silicon lottery and much more overclocking room you have...

No this was a issue that happened to many FTW owners.
Thats why i posted the link to the thread
Numerous owners had the same exact issues.
The SC version does not have this probelm.

Based on your information I think the OP should go for the SC version because the card is 30 dollars & has less similar performance out of the box and buyers are more satisfied with the SC version...

agree and what makes things ironic is i am a EVGA owner(780ti super clocked) and sort of fan boy of theirs
but for the 980's i think the gigabyte G1 and MSI gaming series 980 blow those other two EVGA's away in performance.
I did a lot of research on 980's the last few days and in all bench tests the giga G1 and msi Gaming are the top two for the $$$.
getting a gigabyte 980 G1 myself in a day or two, was originally going to buy a EVGA. 😀

I wouldn't touch a Gigabyte graphic card... MSI is good and would be my secound choice after Asus...

At the end of the day out of box performance isn't really that important for me. Stability and overclockabilty is more important if you're looking for performance.
Getting a good card is a matter of luck...

1st class manufactures like Asus reduce your chance of getting problems...

EVGA has the better tech support and warranty policies than any other company in my opinion.
