I spent almost 900 dollars on my pc build and it still isnt great for gaming. i run skyrim at 20 fps in heavily snowy areas and when the weather is clear, it is around 26-40 fps. My specs are: MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte ga-z97-hd3, POWER SUPPLY: EVGA 430 watt 80+ atx, PROCESSOR: i5 4690k 3.5 ghz but overclocked at 4.24 ghz right now (but i could overclock higher but choose not to), HARD DRIVE: Western Digital 2TB 3.5-inch, SATA 6 Gb/s, 7200 RPM, 64MB Cache WD2003FZEX, RAM: G.Skill 2 x 8(16gb) DDR3-1600 PC3-12800, GRAPHICS CARD: NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 1GB, Windows 8.1 and i use an external usb optical drive if that matters, which is: Lite-On IT Corporation Optical Drives EBAU108-01

...And then you should up, and comment negatively on the entire process, is it not rather pointless?

i bought the power supply from NCIXUS and i bought it on the 28 or 30th and it has been somewhere between 7-9 days when it said i would get it between 5-8 days but yet the item still have even went through all their processing, it finished Order Received, Price Verification, Shipping Info Verification, Payment Processing, Order Processing, but it still hasnt finished Credit Card Verification, and Shipping. i will already probably never buy from NCIXUS again. even for a cheaper price. im supposed to get my cord and graphics card tomorrow, what would happen if i used the r9 390 graphics card with a 430w power supply until i got the new one? would it ruin the parts or what?

Sorry to hear that. I have never ordered from them myself. If I were you, I would email them and tell them that if it is not on your doorstep by Tuesday evening, to cancel the order. And then if its not there that night, order from the next lowest priced place, or Newegg. Newegg is normally within $5 to $10 of anyone else, if not the lowest when it comes to power supplies.

I have a funny feeling that NCIXUS probably got hammered by the promo, and ran out.

i told them what you said about getting it by tuesday or cancel it. i should have bought it from amazon. but what will happen if i used the r9 390 graphics card with my 430 watt power supply until i get the new one?

The video card can draw 336 watts: http://www.eteknix.com/sapphire-nitro-r9-390-8gb-graphics-card-review/14/

That would leave you with less than 100 watts remaining for everything else. I think I would wait until you got the new power supply. And yes, I am aware that this was a stress test. I would still be more comfortable with waiting. No sense in taking chances when you are this close to having your dream system.

yea, but idk when or if i even am gonna get the power supply. i sent the message to them to see what is going on but it says in the email they sent me to confirm i sent an email to them, they said: Please allow 1-2 business days for a response. thats ridiculous just for a response and the it takes 10 days and they havent even shipped out my item yet or got done with all the order processing. i am never buying from this site again i can say, that is ridiculous. i just got the graphics card and the cord for it today but now i still have to wait even longer because the power supply -_- very disappointed with that.

I agree that what you are going through right now is ridiculous. I have removed the company from consideration for lowest price at pcpartpicker.com due to what they are doing to you. I like to think that I am only providing information to people that will come from a reputable retailer, and NCIXUS right now does not appear to be doing that.

I forgot that this was a holiday weekend, so that is probably going to delay them another day... Banks will be closed tomorrow at a minimum. Not sure if NCIXUS will be as well.

You will get a power supply. And even if NCIXUS does not ship it my Tuesday, if you can order it Wednesday from Amazon, even 3 day shipping would get it to you by Saturday. And as I have discovered to my amazement, Amazon can even get the US Postal Service to deliver on Sundays.

yea i just got the cord and graphics card today, i have known for some time now that they somehow get the usps to deliver on sundays like today but i am very disappointed with NCIXUS, they will probably take a long time to reply and then if i message them again for a refund and to cancel my order then they will probably take a few more days to reply. i understand if it didnt deliver on weekends and only week days but the fact that it has been 10 days now and it wasnt even shipped yet is unacceptable. but hopefully i get the power supply from them by monday or tuesday, but even if i get the power supply by then, i still doubt i will be doing business with them again, even for a lower price. i could have paid 14 dollars more and i would have gotten it on the 30th of last month with amazon prime since i am using the free trial and i would have everything i need now but now i have to wait so long to get a reply from them and see what is going on then wait days again to get another reply, seems like a terrible company to me. or at least terrible customer service. i will probably have to file a dispute on paypal to try to get my money back if i dont get it by tuesday.

I wouldn't, which is why I removed them from the retailers that I let pcpartpicker.com check for my prices now. If I would not want to do business with them, I will not send others there either.

Sorry this happened. I just had no idea they were doing things like this to people.

thanks man, still havent heard back from them. im not sure if im getting the power supply or my money back either. they dont communicate well at all. have to wait days to hear from them.

they still never even shipped it, lol. worst company i have dealt with so far, finally got an email tho. they said "Hello,

We are sorry to hear you would like to cancel your order with us.

I have canceled your order and your refund should be processed within 2-3
business days.

An email notice will be forwarded to you with an updated invoice.

Thank you for letting us know, and we hope to hear from you in the
future.

If you have any more questions or concerns, please let me know.

Have a great day.

what a waste of time. i wonder if they will even give me a refund. i dont have the money to buy another one at the moment, unless they did give me the money back cause i dipped into my savings a bit to buy it and the graphics card. i dont understand how they had so much time and they never even shipped the item. thats just disgraceful. i do a better job at selling than they do and im a noob at selling and shipping stuff lol but i have done it before, havent in awhile but i never got negative feedback. i will be getting paid thurdays so maybe i can buy it and then i might have my savings money back by next week with extra money too lol.

Can you tell me why you need an 850W PSU again? I saw it somewhere but this thread is long so I thought I might ask.

for the r9 390 graphics card i bought and just in case i look to upgrade a couple years from now. hopefully it runs games good for a couple years at least.

Okay. Well if you plan to buy another 390 in the near future and run both in CrossFire then you would need 850W minimum. I'm not sure if planning that far into the future is necessary given how quickly things change but that's totally up to you obviously. I'll be using a 650W PSU from XFX to power my own system and it has a 390, just for reference. Won't be doing Crossfire, just waiting for those next gen GPUs, next year.

i didnt mean get another r9 390. i meant if my r9 390 cant play new games in a year or two then i have enough power to hopefully power a new graphics card (by its self probably and not crossfire) when this one cant run new games anymore.

Ah. In that case you don't need 850W at all. No single GPU configuration will draw more than 650W. See for yourself here: http://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator

And don't worry about the future. Every GPU architecture is more power efficient than its predecessor. Like how Maxwell is more efficient than Kepler. So a 650W PSU shouldn't have any problems with a new card (Pascal) a year from now. Get a 750W if you're not convinced.

need extra for everything else to run too and next gen graphics cards might require more.

then I would recommend this: https://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-pro850wp1850snlb9
With the mail in rebate, it is the cheapest unit I've seen. and the review by jonnyguru is solid: http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story6&reid=217

i already just bought this one: http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-SuperNOVA-Crossfire-Warranty-110-B2-0850-V1/dp/B00KYK1CC6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1441743156&sr=8-1&keywords=EVGA+SuperNOVA+850+B2+80+Plus+Bronze Evga is more popular than XFX from what i know, hopefully it works out well and i hope i get my money back from ncixus. they are terrible, so i bought it from amazon.
