[SOLVED] What Apc Ups would you reccomend for this build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QWnc9N

Solution
I want it for safety reasons like when the power goes out . https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QWnc9N
Thanks in advance
My recommendation is to wait until you have the unit built and functional. Then use a power meter like this -- https://www.amazon.com/P3-P4400-Electricity-Usage-Monitor/dp/B00009MDBU to measure actual load, especially while gaming. Then take that data use the charts on the APC website to figure out the size of UPS required for the desired hold time. Typical hold time will be 10 min. Also get a UPS with a USB port so that the UPS can signal the PC to cleanly shutdown BEFORE the battery is exhausted.

Good suggestion from kanewolf.

After a recent power failure, I have been monitoring my power usage using the Powerchute app from apc. on my backups pro 1500.
I have some 18 minutes run time as I am typing this, using 300w of power.
When doing a cpu-Z stress test, the power jumps to 536w.
Also, doing a civ6 graphics test, the power jumps similarly because of the graphics card.

You really only need 5 minutes to shut down gracefully once you have the peak watts demand covered.

The 1500 has been a great unit and highly recommended

Is 1500 overkill for my system ? I just need it to give me like 5 minutes to properly turn everything off . Will 900-1000 VA be good enough ?
