What are some really good lga1151 motherboards?

I'm looking for a good motherboard for my next build and was wondering what are some good lga 1151 motherboards I was thinking about getting a Asus Z170 Premium but the cost is absolutely insane.

What I would buy for myself to use, I have used these in builds. Their 100% no reason to spend more money.

I agree. Do you have any reason to buy a mobo like that asus premium? What are your specs and what will you be using the computer for? If its for gaming your money is certainly better spent elsewhere on your system.

100% agree with the above posters, but what i would buy for myself is the Asus Z170 PRO GAMING http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-z170progaming
Reason:
- while i'm even now on gygabyte and know they are very reliable, i really don;t like the fact that they end BIOS updates support too soon: I'm on a beta BIOS from 2014 witch is teh latest and does have some bugs, yet i'm sure this is teh last bios it'll ever see
- i really like the fan control system in Asus's BIOS. It does everything you could imagine. No more need for Speedfan or whatever else software. Actually, it does more that speedfan can.
