Hey guys i would like some help with upgrading my pc.I think i have already chosen my mobo and ram which are Gigabyte Z370P D3 (rev. 1.0) and Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4-3200MHz.But i cant decide my gpu or cpu im thinking of i7 8700 or i7 9700 for cpu but i cant decide which one is more worth it and rtx 2060 super or rtx 2070 for gpu but i cant decide either as they also have a lot of custom cards too.I would really like some advice.

And would a z370 board be ok for it? Like this one? Gigabyte Z370P D3 (rev. 1.0)Also i got an i7 4790 right now should i wait more for the upgrade and get the 9700k later? Do you think it can hold an rtx 2070 or 2060s without bottlenecking?
you will see a benefit by upgrading the gpu now. will it bottleneck yes it will. but then that gives you a boost in performance and allow you time to save for the other parts. make sure your gpu will have the plugs for the gpu you wanna buy and your golden. that mobo will work perfectly for your situation. i would just review the features make sure you dont want anything extra such as connections etc.

Ok thank you this seems like a pretty good budget one.Do you think i should hold off the upgrade tho or keep my i7 4790 a bit more and upgrade just my gtx 980?
i would wait somewhat. i mean wait for a good sale or something and maybe get the best you can get for the funds you have. i know when i did my upgrade i had intended on buying a gtx1660ti but when i went into store the rtx2060 was on sale for the same price as the 1660ti so i bought the 2060. so id say shop around compare pricing. as for bottlenecking i wouldnt worry about it. it will bottle neck but will give you a bit of a boost in the meantime. and it wont hurt anything by doing it.
