I want to buy a new cpu. But don't know which type of cpu is best. If anybody can tell me what are the key factors to consider when choosing the best cpu then it will be really helpful for me. Thanks.

Building from scratch? 7800x3d.
Upgrading? Depends what your current platform is.

You do realize this belongs in the CPU section?

If all you're doing is gaming then 7800x3d is a good cpu. If not then look at Intel.

Remember you will have to buy an AIO and at least DDR5-6000 RAM. With AMD you have to go DDR5.

A 7800X3D only makes sense with the higher end GPUs.

Techincally, ALL CPUs can game and modern mainstream CPUs can do it very well. Unless you're looking at buying halo products like the R9-7950X3D or i9-13900KS, the most important criterion is value. The best value CPU will maximise every dollar that you spend in gaming performance.

The only caveat to this is it also depends on what platform that you're currently on. There's no point in buying a new motherboard if you don't have to.

Tell me your budget and what components you currently have and I'll be able to recommend the gaming CPU that will maximise every dollar that you want to spend. For what you're looking to pay, you will not find a better gaming CPU than the one I recommend to you.
