Question What are the requirements to connect an iPhone X to a MacBook Pro for data transfer ?

My uncle has an iPhone with the following features:

• iOS: 16.5.1(c)
• Model Name: iPhone X

He wants do transfer of data from the iPhone to a MacBook Pro

What are the requirements to connect an iPhone X to a MacBook Pro?

Therefore:

• macOS version (if exists a mandatory minimum version)
• Special Software to install in macOS to accomplish the connection (of course, if is need it)
• Cable/Adapter type - I am not sure if it is included in the iPhone's box

What specific MBP does your Uncle have?

No special software or cables/adapters are needed. The standard MacOS should have everything needed.

Typically, the charging cable is all that is needed.

He has a MacBook Pro Early 2011 with Yosemite OS ... his concern is about the iPhone if it requests a higher OS in the MacBook Pro to do the data transfer
