What are the uses of a SanLink2

Hi,

I have been trying to find a device that will turn a Thunderbolt storage device... such as the CalDigit T4 into network attached storage NAS

will this do the job?

Honestly? It looks like that device is exactly what you need from what I have read.

For £700 I hope it does but I'm not shelling that money out of it doesn't.....

Call their sales staff, explain what you have and your setup and ask them. That's what I would do.
