what are these lines appearing in my old laptop screen?

Does this mean my lcd is dying and I need to buy a new one? Will it affect the motherboard? This is a very old laptop; what if I don't find any new LCD, can I install an led?

cant tell from the quality of the pic, but it looks like contact death, resulting in those lines across your screen.

your drivers are up to date? or you have tried to roll them back?
