Question What cable to use with RTX4090?

Hi all!

I just upgraded both my monitor and my GPU stepping up from a 1080@144Hz + GTX 1080 to a 4K@144Hz and a Asus TUF Gaming OC RTX 4090.

Since I've been upgrading the entire build step by step over the past years, I bought my PSU just before ATX 3.0 got released but it's a really capable one: Seasonic Prime TX 1300W.

Reading all the issues with the 12VHPWR connector, I decided to look for a 12VHPWR cable directly from Seasonic. I found a 90° angle cable that would allow me to avoid bending it inside my case. The only issue is that it faces up, instead of down (taking my 4090's connector orientation).

What would you recommend using as a cable:
- Seasonic's 12VHPWR to 2x8pin 90° cable (with an awkward orientation)
- The 12VHPWR to 4x8pin adapter included with the 4090
- Cablemod's 12VHPWR to 2x8pin 90° cable (with the correct orientation)

Thanks!!

My understanding was there was a voluntary recall on the Cablemod ones, so probably not that one unless you can verify it is a new version.

I would stick with the adapter cable for now, or get the Seasonic one.

But that recall is for the adapters, not the cables. I'd prefer to use direct cables, to be honest.
