What cables to use?

I have my DVD 10x/40x (40x CD-ROM) hooked to Primary Master port with 40pin IDE connector (cable), should I use 80pin one? I heard that I should hook my CD-RW to Secondary Master, right? not to Primary salve? with 80pin connector?

An 40 pin IDE connector will be fine with DVD Drive. You wont get better performance with 80 pin one.

My hard drive is hooked to that ATA/100 thingy. with 80 pin cable. I don't need to use 80pin cable for DVD, but what about Plextor16x?

I can't really make out the configuration of your IDE devices, sorry

But for the CDRW, you would be fine with a plain 40pin cable.
