I have a custom built PC with a
  • Intel I9 7900X processor
  • 32gb of DDR4 4,600MHZ RAM
  • ASUS Tuf Mark 2 x299 motherboard
  • Asus geforce gtx 1080 ROG STRIX OC EDITION 8GB
  • Corsair H110i v2 liquid cooler
  • Samsung evo 960 m.2 500gb

Basically my cooler isnt doing the job for some reason. I can barely do my gaming never mind trying to overclock which I'd like to do. Can I simply add some nice fans to supplement? I have like 3 or 4 additional spots for them. If not is my only option to get a better liquid cooler? If so which one? I do know only certain ones for my processor which has a 2066 socket which is why I had a issue finding one when I built the pc. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Temps, please?

Load using <software> ?

While the PC is pretty much idle at a %5 load the temps are...
  • 30-33 degrees Celsius on the 10 processor cores
  • GPU 34 degrees Celsius

Asus motherboard
  • Temp #1 (32 C)
  • Temp #2 (31 C)
  • Temp #3 (31 C)
  • Temp #4 (35 C)
  • Temp #5 (44 C)
  • Temp #6 (44 C)
  • Temp #7 (68 C)

Would you like to know the temps while gaming when they shoot up and i can hear the water coolter pump humming? I can also just take a screenshot of the software that shows the temps.

Those are good idle temps.

I was hoping you would tell us your load temps, the ones that seem to be the issue.

What software are you using to apply load? That is what I meant by "Load using <software>"

Is it Prime95? A game? An application or other benchmarking software?

Please provide as much information as possible - without knowing all of this, we have zero capability to understand what the issue is.
