What can i do to make my grandparents laptop faster?

I can’t factory reset things because “some files are missing”, I also can’t launch chrome. Disc usage is at 100% and programs always say “not responding “ when they launch. I want to sell it for scrap so badly because it’s a piece of crap really and it runs at 20% usage at 0.84 gigahertz on average, and it has 4 gb of ddr3 ram. Cpu is a pentium n3510 running again 1.99 gigahertz. It also fails to install updates.

Make/model of it, drive type and size, RAM, etc, etc.

With an n3510, there is likely not a lot you can actually do with it.
Maybe swap in an SSD if it allows.
