I'd like to upgrade this PC:

AMD A10-5800K
MSI 2AE0 MB with FM2 socket and PCIe 2.0 16x
GTX 550Ti
8GB RAM

What is the first thing I can upgrade for 200€ in order to make it run CSGO a little bit better?

Thanks

Yes, if you cannot update the whole system I would update the GPU. Ditch the 550Ti, throw in a GTX 1050Ti then get arround to upgrading the other stuff with budget offerings when you get a chance. Keep a look out for motherboard/cpu/memory deals.

Yes it's an old PC, but it still works ! Do I need a new motherboard or power supply for that GTX 1050 ? If yes, could you recommend me a cheap one? Thanks.

The GTX 1050 Ti has a lower minimum power supply requirment than the GTX 550 Ti does, according to Nvidia, so it should be perfectly fine power wise. I don't believe you even need to worry about an extra power connector for it. But writing this makes me wonder about how much power PCIe 2.0 slots can provide. One minute I will confirm.

No the 1050 can get power from the PCI-E slot. I guess that GPU is OK, but if you want to run something a bit more demanding then i would recommend spending a bit more to get a 1050ti. What psu do you have?

Thank you for your replies. I currently have a Corsair 500W PSU. So basically I should just get a 1050Ti and replace the old 550ti? And is it worth it to get a A10-6800K ? (I think that's the best CPU for the FM2 socket)

Best cpu for the fm2 socket is a normal athlon (cheaper and stronger than the a10 since it doesn't have a gpu) but it's only 10% better so not worth the money at all.

You can just put in the gtx 1050ti and be fine for the moment.
