[SOLVED] What can I upgrade to and should I upgrade the memory as well?

Current graphics card configuration:
GeForce GT 545 PCI Express x 16 Gen 2
BIOS:70.26.30.0.07
Total Available Memory: 8182 MB
Dedicated Video Memory: 3072 MB


I would like to upgrade and I am unsure what will work with the current specs. Can I upgrade to a gigabyte card or does that require a BIOS upgrade as well? I appreciate anyone's assistance.

My upgrade budget is between $300-400 and the reason for the need to upgrade is for use with Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing. I do not do any gaming. I hope that is the information you may have been looking for hopefully. Thank you for your assistance.

First - upgrade ram to 16GB.

Get better graphics card to enable GPU Acceleration in Adobe Premiere Pro. GTX 1660 Super would be a good candidate.
