The corsair RM650 is the power supply that I want to get, but in two different reviews they are stated to have different capacitors.
Kitguru: Corsair are using high grade 105C Japanese capacitors throughout. The primary capacitor is rated 470uF, 400V @ 105c. The secondary side uses Japanese electrolytic capacitors for filtering, alongside some solid polymer capacitors mounted on the DC to DC converter board.
Techpowerup: The filtering caps in the secondary side are provided by Teapo and CapXon, definitely not the best choices for a PSU of this price range, but we have seen worse. The 5VSB circuit thankfully uses a Chemi-Con cap.
Which one is the right one?

I cant say for sure but i have always heard that corsair RM and CX psu's use cheap chinese capacitors so i am inclined to believe tech power up. They could be talking about different psu's im not sure but i think there is an 80+ gold and 80+ bronze version of the RM650.

They definitely have only a gold version, maybe it could be different batches?

Could be or its a different version, they might list the version number listed in the reviews somewhere.

Yah your right it looks like the RM 750 850 and 1000watt units are the ones with the poor caps.

The new RM750 and RM850 are made by CWT. They replace the ones made by Chicony Power Technology that use the low end caps. The new CWT made RM750 and RM850 models use all Japanese Nippon Chemi-Con caps. Chicony Power Technology was dropped as the OEM just a few months ago.

KitGuru is wrong. Even in their own pictures of the internal parts of the RM650, that they've posted, you can see some CapXon capacitors on the secondary. CapXon was never a Japanese company. There are also Teapo capacitors on the secondary and I know for sure that Teapo is a Taiwanese company.

So if I buy the rm750 it will have all japanese caps?

If you're buying it in person it's easy to determine just by looking at the serial number or the Corsair SKU number on the package.

If you're buying it online you won't know which one you've gotten until you receive the package, open it and examine the serial number or Corsair SKU number on the retail packaging..

Say if I bought it online what is the likeliness of getting the cwt version

It depends upon what the online vendor's stock turnover is like. If they sell a lot of them then their stock turnover will be high and then there will be a greater likelihood that you will get the newer CWT made model.

Im getting it from amazon

You'll have to ask Amazon.
