I like these for the quality and cable management, plus they fit very large cards.

I personally like the nzxt h440 its one of the silent builds. But your parts are a bit messed up. Your at least going to need a 750 watt power supply. If you don't you won't get the full capabilities of your cpu and Gpu. Too low of a power supply would water down your build therefore you would be wasting your money.

Where did you get 750W from? I use a Core i7-4770k with a water cooler and a GTX970 with a nice Seasonic G550 and no problems at all. As long as you have at least ~20% headroom, you're good (in fact, PSUs are generally most efficient at ~80% load).

Don't forget that as far as GPUs are concerned, GTX970s are pretty efficient.

This, along with stuff by Fractal and NZXT are probably my choices as well. Just something well constructed and looks nice to you- cases are of course very subjective on the looks.

two things- some PSUs that advertise a certain wattage fail to deliver that wattage across all loads. and second, PSU's "wear out" meaning they don't necessarily deliver the wattage when new, after some time. I think the article i read was something like 60% of the new wattage after 3 years. So you can't just buy a PSU and never replace it. I wonder if one or both of these situations apply to you.

I guess the third thing is that really good power supplies can deliver more than their rated wattage.

Also, not really sure what "full use" means.

Then you had a bad PSU because his system will only draw about 400 watts max under full load, leaving him a two hundred and twenty watts headroom.
