Question What CC do I need to record with an Intel Core i3-5005U CPU?

Hey guys,

I want to start recording my Nintendo Switch but I can't find a capture card that is compatible with my laptop. I have a Lenovo with an Intel Core i3-5005U CPU.
If anybody can help me and suggest a working capture card, that would be great.

I imagine any USB one would be your only option. Just have to check out features and costs and compatibility with the recording software you want to use.

What software will you use? Your laptop may not meet the minimum requirements.

• CPU: Intel i5 2500K, AMD Ryzen 1300X.
• RAM: 4 GB.
• VIDEO CARD: GeForce GTX 900 Series, Radeon RX 400 Series, Intel HD Graphics 500.
• PIXEL SHADER: 5.0.
• VERTEX SHADER: 5.0.
• OS: Windows 8.1 (64 bit)
• FREE DISK SPACE: 500 MB.

Intel HD500 has quicksync which is what they presumably use, HD5500 doesn't have it, so yes, that would be a problem.

The USB capture device would have to have its own hardware encoder.

Yes I would use OBS. And it seems like it won't work with my laptop. Is there any other programm I could use that works with my laptop?

I have no idea. You might need to start preparing for a more powerful PC/Laptop.
