Question What cheap case for really high cpu fans?

Hi all.

I’ve just built my first system for my son and all is going great until he ordered some really high cpu fans. And whilst the work a treat in cooling, they’re never gonna fit in his case.

So could someone recommend a cheap case which can handle such high fans? I think the height from the bottom of the motherboard to the top of the fan is 17cm.

Do you know what case you used for the build? And what model and size are these high fans?

There's cheap cases but it's hard to recommend one without knowing the sizes. Thanks.

I built 2 computers this year with the NZXT h5 Flow and really liked they way they came out. I used the same cooler and it fit just fine.

Height of the cooler is 157mm (not 170mm).

Most of tower cases will support it.
Find the case you like and check CPU cooler clearance info.

PC case choice is more/less personal. Not every design will be appealing to everyone. You must have some considerations.

What will be the components inside the pc?
What will the system be used for?
Does it require high air flow (like for a gaming system) ?
Will you put a large/heavy graphics card inside it?
etc, etc.

What is the make/model of the case you have now?

A decent inexpensive case might be the fractal design focus G. The cooler height it can accommodate is 165mm.
