Question What components improve FPS in CSGO?

So I currently have an old desktop pc from 2009, with a core I5 and a no name motherboard with no graphics card 8GB RAM.

So I am in the proces of buying a new PC and the first thing that I want to buy is a Beast motherboard and Core I7, wil this improve my FPS or do I have to buy a graphics card and better ram?

CSGO likes Intel better, so the i7 would be good. You need enough RAM, which 8GB should be enough for CSGO. You also need a GPU to get the full potential from your i7; otherwise you would be better off with an i3 + mid-range GPU rather than an i7 with no GPU.

the 9700K is certainly a fast option, but, you'll want a GTX1660 for 1080P, or an RTX2060/GTX1080/1080Ti for 1440P...

What resolution are you looking to play on? How much frames are you looking to get. My old i7 7700k with my 1080 was getting 300+ on max settings 1080p.. which is way overkill for csgo lol.

I would get at least an RX 570 for the GPU. They are just too good in price to pass them up for something slightly cheaper. You can, of course, go higher to an RX 580 or better also.
