What connection do I use for data?

So I have this older drive that I want to see what's on it but I don't recognize the data connection. It has a slot for SATA power and also power via molex, which one is data?

Sata, but the data port (smaller of the two on left of pic) almost looks messed up

Never mind, I looked closer at it and the tab for the sata data is broken off.

Is there a way to fix it? maybe put a small tab in there to put pressure between the contacts and cable?

If you plug it in and don't jerk it around it most likely will work (if the drives good) Seeings how you said you just want to see whats on it.
If you want to use it for a longer period of time you can plug it in and put a dab of rtv silicon on it to secure it.
