Question what connector on the end of a 15 pin D-sub

My nephew gave me a Sharp 40 inch tv monitor. It s Sharp D68UT that has a PC button which has a 15 pin D-sub port. I know how to connect with a vga cable but no nothing aabout a 15 pin cable. Does the other end have a vga connector? I want to connect my Dell laptop so I can use that tv monitor as my vision is deminishing due to old age. My Dell laptop with win 11 has a vga port.

You should be good to go with a 15pin D-Sub/VGA connector/cable as they are the same thing. For the sake of relevance, please mention the model to your Dell laptop.

You'd want to get a new monitor - if your laptop has an HDMI output. Heck, get a new laptop too if it doesn't!

My Dell XPS M1530 from 2006 has an HDMI output... I can't imagine what you're using doesn't have one.
