What cooler is better for gtx 770

MSI's Twin Frozr is nice, but they all have the same chip, so none run faster than others unless you buy an OC edition.

The twin frozr is great, but is the loudest of the bunch, not by much mind you.

The asus direct cuii is not only a great cooler, but is also a completely non reference pcb on the card, and is renowned for it's high quality parts. (also overclocks like a champ). Is also the coolest and quietest of the bunch, but ALSO the most expensive

The evga version also overclocks like a champ, and in fact is probably the best overclocker of the 3 by a very slight margin. It is much better than the msi, but also more expensive in most cases, and is quieter than the msi and cools better, but does not quite cool as well as the asus and is ever so slightly louder than the asus one.

Even the reference cooler on the 770 (looks just like the titan) is also very good, but is louder and runs hottest of the bunch

Buy based on budget and desired heat and sound. Heck even buy on looks, as in a blind test, the only one you will be able to tell is the reference one due to the slightly higher noise under load

I'd definitely debate that. Reviews consistently state otherwise, and I've used a MSI 760 Gaming (which to my knowledge has the same cooler) and I couldn't believe well how it ran, mid 50's in temps and completely inaudible. Obviously a 770 uses a bit more power than a 760 but its still a good reference point.

Not by much is fair though, unless you go with something stupid like the Gainward Phantom they are all exceptional coolers.

The Twin Frozr is really, really quiet until it gets to full load, which it doesn't usually do because it performs so well.

Yes, the msi one is great, but i'm talking margin of error in sound readings for the msi one being the loudest. It is not loud enough over the other cards that someone would notice in a blind test, and i emphasized this in my first post. I too have read many reviews, and based on an average across multiple reviews, the msi twin frozer is indeed ever so slightly louder than the other two that i listed. As far as cooling, if you compare temps of the twin frozer to the direct cuii, you will find that the twin frozer is indeed also ever so slightly warmer.

The numbers do not vary by a degree or 2 or even a db or 2 in regards to sound, but the difference has been measured.

The BIG thing that the msi one has going for it is the price. In this world you will not get the best product for the cheapest price, it is as simple as that. The MSI one is great for it's price, but the other two, slightly more expensive coolers i mentioned, are both, ever so slightly better, but do in fact cost more than the msi variant

I recently got the MSI Twin Frozr IV 770 lightning and it's amazing. Keeps the card super cool, about 62c at load on almost all games. Fan never goes above 45% and I've never heard it while playing games. Also, because of how cool the card runs the boost clock is adjusted to about 1256mhz core, instead of the 1202mhz that is listed. This is because GPU boost 2.0 will give you a higher clock if it's under the temperature threshold. Also overclocking is a breeze, I can get +700mhz memory clock easily, but I wouldn't recommend overclocking the core at all if your card performs like mine and gives you 1256mhz core boost clock.

I can't say anything about the other coolers, but I love MSI all the way.

No doubt the lightning variants of msi cards are insane, but they also come at a price premium. If it doesnt break the bank, go for a lightning variant and you won't be sorry. The only real step up after a lightning 770 is a 780 and that comes at a much higher price tag

The gtx titan cooler is better than any other reference cooler to date, but like i said, still not as good as most aftermarket coolers in terms of heat and noise, but will be the cheapest. The reference (what you are calling the titan cooler) won't overclock as well as many of the other non refference boards.

I have never even heard of inno3D, so you may have to do some looking up on that brand, as it must not be very popular (could be, but like i said, google )
