So this is my first ever PC Build, I have no idea what cooling I need to get..

For gaming, a 6 core expensive cpu is a waste.
Few games can use more than 2-3 cores.
A i7-4790K will clock higher and be a superior performer. Even at stock with a modest air cooler.
At the end of the day, I would not be surprised if changing to a i7-4790K would not allow you to run two GTX980 cards for the same price.

A Z97 motherboard will be less expensive, as will 16gb of ddr3 compared to ddr4.
 
Wew that is one hell of a computer, it will last you a very long time.

In terms of cooling I would go for the H100i (or H110i GT) because these new Processors can get very hot!

But whatever you do if you buy this cooling unit... do NOT remove the plastic covering on the metal backplate because it acts as an insulator! (Don't make the same mistake as I did!)
