Question What CPU cooler is compatible with Gigabyte B650M DS3H Micro ATX AM5 Motherboard?

I bought a cpu cooler that needs a mount to fit onto my motherboard, but turns out my motherboard isn't even compatible with external mounts, the screwholes of the retention frame don't fit any bracket... So I need one that just clips onto the frame or can be screwed into the frame. I don't know if this is even slightly useful but I measured the screwholes to be 90x50mm. Does anyone have any suggestions of what type of cpu cooler that i can buy which will fit? I'm in Australia so specific suggestions may not work lol

You need an AM5 mounting bracket. All AM5 sockets measure the same. What cooler did you buy?

A lot of mounting solutions involve removing the AMD brackets entirely. That is there for, at this point, quite extreme backwards compatibility with AM1/AM2/AM3/AM4 clip on style coolers. The vast majority of them still work.

I have the Deepcool ak620 cpu cooler- i will buy the AM5 bracket and hopefully it works! This is my first build and Im not very knowledgeable on tech so trying to figure this all out is a massive hassle haha. Thanks for the advice!

Did you remove the existing mounting bracket for the stock AMD cooler? Your Deepcool should have come with the proper AM5 bracket unless you were unlucky enough to buy one that was made the year before AM5 was released.

It didnt fit, there was nowhere i could put the bracket which is my issue…
