What CPU is the equivalent to the FX-6300

I"m building a budget gaming PC and i would like to know what is a good equivalent to the AMD processor FX-6300, but Intel because I plan to upgrade.

If you want an new Intel CPU get the Skylake i3-6100 which you can upgrade to an i5 or i7 later on. It has better core performance than the AMD.

I hope that's not usd since an i7 is $300 here. But if you want an upgrade, going with an equivalent doesn't make sense. You are not upgrading. For gaming the 6300 should play most any game fine.

An i3 3225 should not be $300, more like $100, but that may be because it's 3 generations old and not being produced anymore.

As Archaic59 says, an i3 6100 at $110 would be a nice improvement. It's the best chip to get in the ~$100 pricerange.

it really depends on whether or not you want to upgrade if you want to upgrade to a 6700k or something get a i3 6100
if you dont want to upgrade get a 6300 and a more expansive motherboard and overclock
