Since you are on Haswell, grab a i7-4xxx that fits your budget. Otherwise, guanyu210379 is right. The Xeon CPUs are great buys. It is essentially a i7 without on board graphics, meaning you need a discrete video card like your 980 in order to work. I strongly suggest looking for a compatible Xeon, but if you want the ability to use the i7 and connect to mobo instead of discrete GPU then go i7-4xxx.

I believe the issues with Fallout 4 are tied to the game, and not so much the hardware. If you got a new i5, which you do, and a 980, you should be as good as it can get for 1080p gaming, or even some 1440p.

btw, I'm not in the US either, I'm in Asia. Locally, by me, the 4790 sells for $315usd. But if you want i7, the 4790 is pretty much...
Well half of the newest games recommended specs are intel core i7, fot example fallout 4 my specs surpass it easily but o still get 40-30fps in crowded areas(though i heard that its optimization problems), so i thought it might help me reduce the lag and overall for the future gaming, but now that u said it i dunno if its worth it. Btw can u post any cheaper CPU`s because the one u told costs 346euros in my country witch is a lot, maybe there is a cheaper one buy similiar to it.

If you are planning to spend on an i7 4790, not willing to OC, do not need the iGPU
Xeon E3-1231V3 is the more interesting option a.k.a cheaper.
It is for normal users practically the same as i7 4790 without the iGPU.
If you are on budget get the cheapest among i5 4460, i5 4590 and i5 4690.
Just remember that some games can already gain advantage from having more threads.

H81? Why not H97? H97 is the newer mobo (also for non-OC).
If you plan to SLI, despite not planing to OC, you still have to get Z97.

GTX980, this GPU is good but not that good in term of price/performance value.
GTX970 and GTX980Ti are the better buys.

What are you talking about, ive already have these parts for i dunno i year maybe, im just asking suggestions for better CPU, i dont need OC or whatsoever
Im just asking for better CPU suggestions; but the i7 4790 is to much for my budget, so im asking for a cheprar one but who is stronger than my CPU.

ah..sorry..I misunderstood the problem...my mistake
if you are looking for i7 4790 performance level and if i7 4790 is too expensive for you..how about the mentioned E3-1231V3? (You might need a BIOS update for H81 tho')
Other than E3-1231V3 or i7 4790, I think, you should simply keep your current i5.

So u guys are saying that my processor is good enough for 1080p gaming? For example how long do you think this processor will last for me (only for gaming) till i have to buy a new one.

I would estimate that your CPU will last at least 3 years before you should even consider upgrading. My i5 (overclocked) was released over 4 years ago and it is still capable and competitive with your CPU. I will upgrade it in 2017. Until then there is no reason to upgrade it for my needs (gaming, photo editing, and general use) are well taken care and there is no bottleneck.

There is not cheaper CPU than i7 and better than your i5. The next to i5 is i7 or Xeon. But man, really, if you already have an i5 it's not worth to upgrade.
