Hey Community.

So some of you probably have seen my 3 other post. I'm right now on my quest to gather informaiton on what to buy for a PC upgrade.

So i basicly want a new processor, cause I've had a lot of both games and software (Like OBS) that says my CPU usage is too high. This has been the case from the first day i got the computer, so it is not any malware or external hardware that is causing the problem.

My final setup, will have a 144Hrz screen, a Zotac GTX 1080 Video Card Graphic Cards, and of course a i7 Processor.
Not only to fix problems, but i also want a I7 to get the highest perfomance both speed and FPS wise.

Been looking at: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012M8LXQW/ref=pd_bxgy_147_img_2?ie=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B012M8LXQW&pd_rd_r=GXVW8N9TE9PZDA9XCV9D&pd_rd_w=rAvEb&pd_rd_wg=3nxW1&psc=1&refRID=GXVW8N9TE9PZDA9XCV9D

So what I7 Processor would go good with the setup mentioned above? I got recommended the I7 3770, but I'd rather have one of the new ones (like the I7 6700K). Of course this has just been me researching the Processor opportunities. I still dont no anything about the subject.

So please, feel free to recommend a i7, and also to why i should choose the model, instead of the I7 3770, and I7 6700K :)

Best Regards
Noah

Oooh. Well no i haven't. The only thing i know, is that i want a 144Hrz wich includes a 144FPS in games. So to get maximum perfomance in need a computer that can support a GTX 1080 and a I7 for maximum perfomance. But whe it comes to what 1080, and what i7, i'm lost. Thats why i'm coming here on Tom's Hardware. The only thing i know for certain, is that my RAM (even tho it needs a upgrade eventually), my harddrive and my power supply are here to stay.

So we're not going with the Zoiac you mention in the previous thread? The Graphics card has changed in your pcpartpicker?

Ok I just whipped up a build for you and yeah your definitely going to need to go over budget:

This is more of an example build. Even with a 1070 over a 1080 were over budget:

We can delete the Power supply from the budget. I already have a 700W 80+ Gold Power supply. I funny enough won a Corsair Carbide 500R Case, so i already have a case that will support the space needed. I also have a 1TB storage, with 400GB left, so no need to get one of those either. I will evenutally need some new RAM, so i guess that can stay.

Look at this. I edited your build, so it would match what i was initially thinking. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/wCCm3F

Ok good. But is the storage an SSD?

Here's what the build looks like with a monitor now (again just an example):

Yes it looks fine, but a 144Hrz with recording would require a 1080 as i am concerned? You put a 1070. You don't exactly need to hit 1200 dollars. Thats just what i have at the moment. If it hits 1300 it doesnt matter.

I know we're up at the 1400 dollars, but if you should say your final thoughts on this?
