What CPU would work well with a GTX 1070 that isnt expensive?

I am looking to buy a 1070 and would like to know what cpu would work well with it that isnt expensive

I have a GTX 1050ti and an AMD X4 880k. With a MSI A68HM and 8Gb of ddr3 ram

As a bare min I would go Intel 8100 or Ryzen 1200 for the 1070.

It all comes down to the game but you could easily pair the 1070 with either the 1200/8100 on 1080P, 1440P or even 4K.

It all comes down to the game but you could easily pair the 1070 with either the 1200/8100 on 1080P, 1440P or even 4K.

Unfortunately that's a older socket and no newer CPU will work in that socket, for Intel it needs to be 1151 (H310/B360/H370/Z370/Z390) or AMD AM4 socket.

You might be better off selling your current CPU/MB/RAM & 1050 ti then buying a Ryzen 2600, B450, 8gb DDR4 (2x4gb@3000/3200mhz) & RX 570 or RX 580.
