So Im still new to the whole PC scene i guess you could call it and im wanting to get a new Monitor. I dont yet have a budget but I do however know I want to have a 1ms response time and 144hz refresh rate. I currently have a dell monitor. I cant remember the model but i know it has VGA and HDMI ports. In my computer i currently have a GTX 1070 FE which has one HDMI port and three other ports. According to the box it has a DP1.4, HDMI 2.0b, and DL-DVI connectors.

From the past PC i had which was a prebuilt cyberpower with a R7 250 video card that used VGA ive notice that the VGA has darker colors than when i connect the HDMI. As if the light is just bleeding through the darker colors i think is the way to put it. So im only looking to upgrade my monitor and know what port is best for gaming and some productivity like video editing. The main features im looking for in the monitor would be:
1ms response time
144hz refresh rate
23in-27in
and hopefully pivots, height adjustments, and maybe curved it possible
If anybody can recommend me a monitor around 300 and what display ports is best to use for gaming and video editing i would really appreciate it! Thanks!

The XG2401 is the usual recommendation. Connect with DP.

Does that monitor have the DP DVI port? I’m mainly looking for them response time, refresh rate, and the size. I don’t necessarily need the other features if there’s a more suitable monitor with that display port.

It has DisplayPort and HDMI and supports 1080p 144 Hz over either one.
