What do i do when i upgrade my PC?

so im going to upgrade my PC and i do not know if i need to re download windows 10.

i am going to upgrade my mobo, cpu, and cpu cooler.

my case has no optical drive.

using a new motherboard will invalidate your current install. you will have to contact Microsoft afterwards and explain the situation so they "re-register" a new serial for your new setup.

i always find it better to perform a fresh install when using a new motherboard. there are just too many possible driver conflicts and it can be difficult to actually remove all currently installed chipset and hardware drivers.

redownloading the newest 10 install media is probably the best bet, installer gets updated regularly:
