I would if funds allow go for a new build. Replace motherboard, CPU and memory. Upgrade the rest later if money an issue. A cheap Ryzen build would also give huge performance increase and allow for more upgrades later.

That said, you could utilise the Ryzen 2400G´s APU ! The processor should cost $170 and a budget AM4 board is about $45-60.
