Your current RAM should work with new CPU, so it's just new motherboard.

Cheap motherboard with 1150 socket - now that's the problem. Unless you can buy used, finding new and reliable cheap one can be real problem.

that warring is letting you know for some chip and motherboard combos they will need a bios update before you can install it and that would require a second CPU set for the old bios so that one is up to you

means that if the motherboard has an old BIOS it will not work

look for a used h97 or Z97 mobo on ebay or craiglist
