What do I need to run at 144 Hz with these components ?

Hi guys,I´m planing to buy a GTX 970 and Acer GN246HLBbid 144 hz gaming monitor,and my question is:what cables do I need to play at 144 hz and be able to watch 3D

Also if you want to indicate to some other similar priced 144 hz 3d monitor for gaming that would be awesome

you will probably need a single 970 to reach to 70-100 FPS, but if you want the full potential of the 144Hz you will probably need a 980 or 2 970s.

You will need to SLI your 970 with another for 144hz. You will also need a potent CPU.

For the monitor you will need a Display port or DVI cable to get 144hz at 1080p. To watch 3d the monitor will either need an emitter built in, or you will need to buy a kit that plugs in to your PC. You will also need glasses.

I have the Acer monitor listed, it's a nice monitor, but the 3d feature requires you to buy an expensive Nvidia kit. It's best used as just a 144hz gaming monitor. If you want 3d, get an oculus rift for solo use or a 3d TV for group use.

DVI-D will give up to 120 fps.

A DisplayPort will give up to the full 144 fps.

HDMI can give 120 fps.

Go with DisplayPort, if possible.

The Monitor listed only accepts input via HDMI and DVI-D, but both can support 144hz with a modern piece of hardware. Check the revisions of both on your Video Card, I know for a fact that this monitor supports 144hz via DVI-D.
