Ok so i'm building a gaming rig, and my budget us $1000
this is what i have as of now but i am open for suggestions

intel is about to stop making all socket 775 processors [ actually they have probably already stopped and are just selling down stock before they release their new i5 range]

Its a bad time to buy the last of this technology

The power supply is cheap for a reason

and its not really worth it to buy a retail version of a hard drive . You pay too much for a cardboard box , because thats the only real difference

the gtx 275 runs neck and neck with an ATI 4890 which is sometimes as low as $170


If you want to build now then AMD's Phenom ll 945 quad is faster , cheaper and with an AM3 mb its also a newre better generation of tech .

If you must have intel and cant fit an i7 into your budget then wait a month or so for i5
 
Everything looks good but you choice of psu. It's a dud. You could change up on your HD with this one down below, and then with the money you saved upgrade to the OCZ psu.
