A Chevy 454 carbureted with Hooker headers, the old two chamber three inch Flowmaster mufflers and five inch tips. This is before Flowmaster switched to the 10, 40, &c. I don't know what the current equivalent is. The car doesn't matter so much as the engine and exhaust system. It had a slow deep rumble without being overly loud. I don't care as much for the modern sounding exhaust.

I really like the subaru SVX.
3.3-liter boxer 6 that's sounds glorious. You can buy em for a couple of grand too.

Sadly they came with a fragile auto 4 speed as the only option.

But I will grant you Ford does an awesome job tuning their exhaust note to make it sound like the engine is gurgling down gas. Even after market Borla exhaust do much better.

I was never a fan of Ferrari high rev'ers. It's too high a pitch for my taste. "Theres no replacement for displacement"

I dont like most flat plane v8s except for the GT350. Ferrari v8s always sounded worse than Lambo v10s to me.

So bad they are about as reliable as a Chinese power supply.

I said that and then I remembered my psu is actually made by great wall, a Chinese OEM...

What do you think of this?

I love the sequential transmissions sound when upshifting. The whine when decelerating is pretty cool aswell.

Any small block chevy v8. We had a 69 GMC with one growing up, and I always loved the sound of it compared to friends' Tauruses and Voyagers.

I personally think unmuffled rotary engines are the most awful sounding engines of all time, which is why the 787B is so amazing

However the 60,000rpm Chrysler Turbine Car sounds like a vintage jet fighter!
