I'm thinking of getting the ASRock Z170A-X1/3.1 motherboard.
Link to AsRock's item page: http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z170A-X13.1/
From the item page, here's one of 4 pics of the board: http://www.asrock.com/mb/photo/Z170A-X13.1(L2).jpg

I'm reading http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/motherboard-selection-guide,3900-2.html, which talks about the importance of a motherboard's layout. So, what do you think about the layout of the different slots, components, etc. on the AsRock board? Please comment in the same fashion as the Toms article.

BTW, the case I plan to use is this: http://imgur.com/a/v6s5r.
I plan to get a Radeon R9 390.

Ive built several asrock boards and always liked them, good stuff for the money. When considering layout now I think you should consider small form factor like mini-itx boards, why a full atx board layout? Dual graphics cards are inefficient compared to single cards, cooling isn't as big of an issue, single drives are up to 8tb, and decent sized ssd's are affordable now, 8gb single sticks of ram, what does the atx board give you?

Slots in case your onboard LAN and audio fail (unless you go USB).

Saratj, thanks for your reply, though I wish you answered in the way I requested. That is to say, to critique the AsRock board the way writer Thomas critiqued the Biostar board.
