Is that with SoftShadows enabled?
Soft Shadows + AA dont mix in FEAR, the edges of the soft shadows interlace when you have AA turned on so its either AA with regular shadows or soft shadows with no AA.
If you would like for me to when I get home from work today I can run a test with 16XAA plus soft shadows just for kicks
To answere your question I was running regular shadows with 16XAA, I had rather have AA turned on to clean up the jaggies.
Don't forget that he's also running a Core 2 E6400 overclocked to 3.4GHz and his 8800GTXs are overclocked as well.
LOL it almost sounds like your trying to down play my setup or something? :? Anyway if your gonna run 2 8800GTX's then you better have a good CPU to back it up and thats why my E6400 is at 3.4ghz because at anything much less than 3ghz it starts to become a noticable bottleneck
And as for the overclocking I only did that with the single card, no need to overclock SLI'd 8800GTX's
😀
A single 8800GTX already massacres F.E.A.R.
Yes a single 8800GTX will utterly destroy FEAR as well. On a single 8800GTX my max FPS on that same benchmark was like 176fps instead of 363fps
but RobsX2 just likes to show off.
Sometimes people mistake me for a show off but im really not. Taco invited me here to help shut up the creator of this topic so I obliged.
When I share pics etc... of my setup its just because I am a hardware enthusiast like anyone else around here and enjoy PC's to the fullest regardless if its pics of mine or someone elses.

It was a joking about you showing off; I'd kill to have your system.
Also, I'm aware of what mixing softshadows and antialiasing does; the edges can be corrupted, but I was wondering if you were using it for benchmarking. Depending on the level and the types of lighting it uses, softshadows can work better where on other levels with different light sources, they don't seem to look right at all.
