I will be upgrading my PC to this in the next week or so, the CPU is already ordered as well as the HyperX ram. I will be ordering the a second 7870 GPU sometime in the next 2 days. Everything else, I already have.. the current possessor is an Intel Core i3-4130.

Should I make any changes? Any additions? The biggest game I will run will be GTA 5. I have a Asus VS238H-P monitor and am getting another tomorrow.

If you want to do a nice upgrade to the gpu, newegg has this 290 for $219 after rebate: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?sdtid=7636000&SID=13b5f4361ae348408a77c84510efd46e&AID=10440897&PID=1225267&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-cables-_-na-_-na&Item=N82E16814150697&Tpk=N82E16814150697&cm_sp=

That card will work really well for you.

As far as the CPU, you do not need anything beyond an i5. Getting the i7 will not improve your gaming experience at all. Toms and Andatech have done tests proving that there is no gaming FPS gain between the two.

I agree on the ram, you only need 8gb and it needs to be from 2 4GB sticks that are the same brand, model and speed.

For an SSD, I'd recommend the Crucial mx100 256GB...
